After documentation submission, the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) will assign a GBCI WELL Assessor to the project. The WELL Assessor is the third-party individual responsible for assessing/reviewing your project. After submission for certification, the WELL Assessor is responsible for verifying both documentation and performance test results for WELL projects. Project teams may elect to contract GBCI to conduct on-site performance testing or may contract directly with approved providers trained by GBCI to conduct performance testing. If performance testing is conducted by an approved provider, the WELL Assessor assigned to the project will review performance testing results to confirm achievement of certification.
